I heard yesterday that Ricoh is working on a fax option for the MP5500-7500 (due soon). anybody hear anything further as to due date? Canon and KMonika are making a big deal about it on their 50+ machines. it seems to be a viable application for legal, mortgage, property management, etc.

You can't sharpen the dies for sure. For a start you cannot dissemble the die sets. Anybody who has a go at taking one apart will not get it back together again. I've been to the factory and seen them being made.

The service guys in our company just asked me if i could find out if there is anyone that has some information about getting the punch dyes on a gbc 3 hole punch sharpened or if there are any aftermarket places out there? Apparently you can only buy the entire unit from Ricoh and is the neighborhood of 700 dollars.

Re: MP1350 and Aficio 1085 file compatability

Pete Maimone 2 (Guest) ·
John & Scott, I was just in a training class on the MP1350 at ricoh Corp. They said there is a conversion tool that you can get (loaner) to convert those files to TIFF. Contact Jim DiGrutila at (973) 882-2073. He can give you mor info on how to get your hands on one.

Pete: No go on the fishing, the wind is from the east today and blowin about 20. You know when the wind is from the east the fishing is the least! In reference to the fax option, I heard first quarter of 07, and all of the systems that are in the field can not be upgraded to have the fax option. Art Post

The Print/copy qaulity is not bad. Of course it's a litle slower. B & W is good, while color is a little light and sometimes has linesin it typical with some ink jet printers. But all in all, not bad.

I've been getting this error after a print or copy job. Has anyone seen this and whats the fix. I've replaced the id sensor and made sure it is clean. This is a new install with less than 200 feet on the machine. Thanks
