We just got our first gel sprinter in our dealership. When I was setting it up, it seems as though it is not compatible with scan router V2 lite. There are only 3 protocols listed (FTP,SMB,NDS) When I tried Scan router, the destination list was not updating. Then I did SMB to folder, worked fine. Just curious if anyone else noticed this. Usually machines are compatible with scan router and NOT SMB. This is the first time I found it to be opposite

I think they are phasing SR out. I noticed that the B140 series,(DSm651/660/675) did not include it.
SMB/scan to email/FTP is much easier to setup and maintain. SR is many cases needs a dedicated person in the office to maintain. And can be a pain to setup when using XP SP2.
My 2¢

Also I echo Neals Question.
Our techs were mixed on feedback. Some liked the printer and some didn't. The advantages they all seemed to agree on were: 1. The speed is awesome compared to other low end inkjets without having to be in draft mode to get great speed. 2. The ink dried VERY quickly when compared to other inkjets we tried. In fact, one of the more skeptical techs tried to smudge the ink right off the printer and could not.

The biggest disadvantage was the print quality, but for a low end ink printer, the speed more than makes up for the lower, grainy pictures.

Unless the customer lays them side-by-side, they may not notice the difference. I know we're going to try to start selling them. EVERY business has at least one or two inkjets, simply because of the low start-up cost.
