Real Copier Sales

I'm writing an article for the www.opstoday.com website about the abundance of office equipment choices available from a hardware and software perspective. I'd like to get insights of Print4Pay Hotel members as to whether or not they feel they're being overwhelmed by their manufacturer with all of these choices, how they keep up with all of this and if having so many choices is really necessary?..... go here for rest of article

Xerox introduced DocuTech in 1990, calling the virtual printing plants its "most revolutionary advance since the introduction of the copy machine 31 years ago." Demand has been strong for the line, but over time rivals such as Germany's Heidelberger Druckmaschinen (XETRA:HDDG.DE

My customers, most of them enjoy that they can use me for all of their needs, laser printing, fax, copier, color and now scanning. know I have to become an expert in scanning software or at least knowledgable to sell it. I would say five to six hours a week is dedicating to learning the new features and

Printing & Holding in Que

Gregory (Guest) ·
As it relates to a recent Ricoh 2105 install, and probably most of the line, a client is referencing the ability to print to a mailbox, like on the Canon imageRUNNER series. They want to send the job to the systems and print them later. The catch is they want the settings (staple, duplex, holepunch, etc.) to be held. They don't want to have to enter user id or password for each job. Any suggestions? Is the doc server supposed to be able to hold settings entered at the print driver?

interview the company as much as the interviews them. It is important to strike the right balance of giving it your all, while at the same time receiving the support in areas that are not critical to the sales process. The business is extremely rewarding and if they happen upon a dealership that markets products from the Ricoh Family Group, then they have one of the most valuable tools at their resource in the Print 4 Pay Hotel. -Greg

Art, Print speed is half at 1200DPI. By the way the new Toishiba relables Ricoh is getting are 10 bit color. I believe the bits are an indication of how much digital information is sent to and through the print engine, althought I am no color bit expert. We are now a toshiba dealer also. JG

Hell yeah it's confusing. You have so many programs that do so many similiar things. But if you take some extra time and work it out it can lead to so many sales. Also I think it is nice to have a company like Ricoh leading the way in many areas. -=Mike=- BTW Art is a kiss butt

Great Article The biggest problem we have had lately is product inconsistency from RICOH. Each new system has or does something slightly, but significantly, different from the last one released. The 2035 was a step up from the 1035/45 but even with the advancements it was still lacking the SMTP authentication that we had previously. Then comes the 2022/27 with major advances in scanning (SMB,FTP,LDAP) and enhanced fax features, etc… Its great to tout the “new technologies” of the latest

I too would love the email of the file or access to it. Thanks I concur that it is a real shame that Ricoh does not particularly like this site. I say that is their problem. If they would tell all of us the same information then they would not be so worried about this site. Their own inconsistencies cause them to look upon this site as too informational.

The scan he mentioned in the above post is just Twain scanning. In order to have scan to folder, desktop, etc, they would have to propose the ir5020i. The 5000i is discontinued. Our scanning solutions come with both types of scan solution, not just Twain. Their total cost for the whole deal is between 10,500 and 10,900. The print board, punch and paper deck were priced at dealer cost. They are using one of several dixcounts that Canon offers to go that low. You need to make sure that if

Re: 8 Bit to 2 Bit Color

A bit is the smallest unit of information a computer understands. It has two possible states: it can be on or it can be off. All computer information is handled in this way.If there are 2-bits per pixel, the number of colors each pixel can display rises to four. Two-bits per pixel means each pixel has 2 bits and each bit has two states: on and off. In mathematical terms, 2 bits x 2 states = 4 colors. In printing we are then talking about the color depth or resolution. The more bits per pixel
