There are no laser based wide format color systems out there from the major manufacturers. If there are, they are price prohibitive. What your customer would find would be a couple of systems to meet his or her needs. Oce has a TCS400 system which is a separate scanner, controller and printer. They can scan the color document and direct it to print on the inkjet printer. No doubt an expensive output solution because it is ink based. Probably looking at the $40,000 range for this one. The 1075 is $1,000 and $1,500 respectively for competative machines. You get a $1,200 trade-up for the 1075 only against Ricoh Base machines whether it's connectd or not. Scott, What specifically is their application? Remember, the 2035/45, 1224/32, the 2090/2105, and 1060/75 all come with scan to e-mail out of the box. If they are sending to less than 2000 destinations, and don't require authentication. You're good to go out of the box. I'm told there is a way to create a csv? file form you e-mail address book and upload to the copier via smartnet monitor. If they require authentication or direct access to mailserver then you add Global Scan. Pete M.

If you use a print server through the parallel port, you will lose all of your network functionality (smartnet, scanning and the such). Most companies that are still on token ring have some sort of provision for ethernet devices, I would check for that as well.

The ruling comes as Xerox looks to grow sales of its equipment after enduring years of troubling issues, including a federal probe into its accounting practices. We must not forget the Riso V8000 2-color single-pass system. I also can't speak for registration variance Riso vs Ricoh nor TC-II vs. 2 passes. I'm mearly suggesting that it makes for a compelling argument...whether it actually holds water, I don't know. Riso quotes a +or- one millimeter as an "acceptible variance on their current product line not counting the V8000. I don't sell the Ricoh nor do I compete against it so I can't speak to the registration or lack thereof.

Re: 400 DPI IMAGE MOVEMENT!!!

I thought that 1 mm would be acceptable as well. I think that it is hard to compete trying to sell a dup and a tc11 when there is competitive 1 pass system that will lay two colors well and consistently. I wonder if, in the long term, the RICOH will stay consistent with a certain margin on movment, and the riso will start going all over the place. That I do not know, but that is the argument my higher ups are sticking to. I appreciate everyones input. Thanks again, Brian

The most impressive items is the quality and the booklet making finisher w/saddle stitch(2-3 hole punch also!) My dealership doesn't have any CL7000CMF's in stock yet, so I can't really compare. Dmap it and the dealer will be authorized ricoh dealers...you can specify which dealer. To find dealer go to ricoh-usa.com then go to contact ricoh then service location database then select state and product line. This is the best way to find independent dealers. There is also a master list you can try to get from your DSM, but that is always the hardest.

I have a promo cost of $573 for this option. (Print Scan DIMM, Network Card, 64MB RAM). Even if they do raise it to the $855 - after offering it at $573, I would imagine promos would continue or there will be a riot - but at $855 for the package, it is less than the printer only option with the two additional pieces that are necessary anyway (unless you get your memory elsewhere, then it is a little more).

Here is my observation and question. None of the other machines have a note by the postscript regarding UNIX. Do we need the postscript option, say on a 1060 also, if they are going to print from a UNIX environment?

Think of it as a print driver. It sends it to the 1035 as a print and with the GW it realized it as a fax and send it to the fax module. So you have to install it as a "printer" with the same IP address. http://us.support.ricoh.com/ht...5_45/af1035_45en.htm It should also be on the one of the CD's.

Nope, just the e-mail interface built in to the 1060/75 print/scan option. One thing, if they are using some sort of internal e-mail server than you need to use that IP address as the SMTP (provided it is an SMTP server too) if not, then you are going to need to get the DNS and SMTP stuff directly from their ISP. If their entire network is behind some kind of internal software firewall, you will need to configure it to allow the 1060 to get outside of the firewall

POP3 accounts are for recieving e-mail. If Scan Router PRO tries to recieve e-mail to deliver to a fax or something like that it will need POP3 information. Similar to the NIC fax unit on the 5510NF. If you don't need it to do POP3 recieveing and can turn it off, do that. The other option is to set up a "ghost" e-mail account to send the POP information to. SOME ISP's require POP authentication prior to allowing you to send SMTP e-mail. Some require POP and SMTP authentication and others

Re: 1027/1022/1035/1045 Stamping

First of all, the 1045P comes with 64MB of memory if I'm not mistaken. Secondly, I suspect the reason why user stamp is greyed out is because there hasn't been one saved there yet. Go to user tools-copier settings-Stamp-User Stamp-Program/Delete and save a user stamp. Then see if it is still greyed out.

If you use gem/gsa pricing you can use the 0% interest lease for 12, 24, 0r 36 months as well as the LTOP $1 purchase. You must use the RMAP lease and Credit approval. The leasing is run through DLL. You should also be aware that Ricoh will eat "property tax" not sales tax on any RMAP deal. Also the AP3800,AP3200,and AP206 are

This is Slide 30 of the CL 5000 Launch ppt. It shows bit and resoulution of printers. I hve found that the CL5000 is way too red and very grainy compaired to the 3800C. Be aware of this before proposing to propective customers that have see or are using the 3800c output. I can't wait to see real world output of the 1224/1232c output. Ricoh still is number 1 in my book.

. They cannot even find an accessories tab in the setup on these computers. When they print to the PC's that only see the printer (no accessories), the job takes a long time, and sometimes doesn't print at all. We have talked to our Regional Presales person from Ricoh who sent the client "Drivers that would correct the problem" (right). We have even gone through the help desk. (no help there). Anyone have any suggestions? Ted

6513 & real Wood!

Art Post (Guest) ·
From: ricohaficio (Original Message) Sent: 11/30/2001 4:57 PM I have added a "real wood" to the documents section of this site. This is an order form for ordering pieces of wood that the Aficio 6513 will print onto. I heard and will attempt to get in writing that this is recommeded ny Ricoh. Has anyone tried this yet?

Therefore some of us have a hard time taking compensation we have earned from our commissioned sales to provide a little bonus money for our good, go the extra mile, technicians. But I can tell you from experience, as many of you can attest to, an extra $50 here and there, for the techs that really excel in your accounts, makes all the difference in their total performance and customer

From: Lee Sent: 2/23/2002 8:20 PM Just a note on PDf printing here. If using Acrobat Reader 5.0, be sure to update your print drivers. Reader 5.0 handles printing a little differently. When you select print with the old drivers, it looks almost like the computer locks up. It takes about 20 minutes for the rest of the print dialog to come up. If you then remove 5.0 and go back down to 4.0, you still have the same problem. Installing the latest drivers downloaded from the website fixes the

From: Ted Sent: 12/3/2001 6:21 AM I have a sample of the wood. It is real redwood, that has been copied on. the customers love it. If you can get some of the wood for samples, I believe in a tight situation, running this through the machine could make the sale. Then you could leave a piece for the competition to run through their machine on demo. Who knows, the competition may be foolish enough to try it and it may ruin their machine. (wishful thinking).

Re: Scan Router Question

There are a couple of settings in the machine: First, go to service programs and set service program 5974 to 1. This tells the machine that you have the Pro version. Power cycle the machine and you should now have some more options in user tools, system settings under file transfer I think. One of those settings will tell it to forward faxes with a subcode to SR Pro. Sorry I can't be a bit more specific. Hope this helps and let me know if you need further assistance! Thanks!
