Lanier Australia and Allianz

Background
The Allianz Group is one of the world’s leading insurers and providers of financial services and pride themselves on having local expertise, whilst maintaining a global presence. Allianz has over 85 years of history in Australia and is one of Australia’s largest general insurers. It provides some form of insurance coverage for two thirds of Australia’s top fifty companies and it is the largest private Workers’ Compensation insurer in Australia.

Problem
Areas that the Allianz Group needed to address were within administration, with items such as billing, maintenance, service contracts, consumables and asset management. Rashid Ben Zerouk of Lanier Australia took a consultative approach to the Allianz Group’s needs and came up with the solution that would be most beneficial to the customer.

Objectives
The main objectives were to ensure that the Allianz Group had maximum productivity for all document management functions, lower costs for all processes while still providing expertise and accommodation for future growth.

Solution
Emphasis was placed on identifying processes and the lack of functionality which negatively impacted productivity. Document workflow improvements, document cost structure and focus on efficiencies could be achieved, equipment rationalisation and capturing total document volume also played an important role.

Results
Rashid Ben Zerouk introduced the Allianz Group to the DOCutivity Sales Method. He showed how by using Lanier’s digital printing, copying, faxing and scanning systems that the customer could save over 30% and enjoy additional benefits such as increased productivity, reduced manual labor costs by up to 50% and the means to convert their existing paper documents into electronic format. The entire process took 18 months.

The customer was extremely satisfied with Rashid Ben Zerouk’s consultative approach. Today this partnership with the customer is an ongoing one. Rashid Ben Zerouk and Lanier Australia intend to be an ongoing Global Facilities Manager for the Allianz Group.

“With the help of all team members, the consultative approach to our customer with DOCutivity sales method will certainly help get closer to the worldwide goal, reach continuous growth whilst lowering costs”, said our winner Rashid Ben Zerouk.
