Not saying it would get the deal but we charge $0.0125 per B&W copy inclusive of toner and $0.05 per color copy exclusive of toner.

Is that $0.05 per color for a color copy, yielding $0.15 per color copy, plus black which ends up being about $0.1626 per color copy? Or are you guys only charging $0.05 per color copy?

We give customers a choice. .015 per scan (B&W or color scans) Includes black toner, customer pays for color toner. or .12 for full color and .015 for black includes all service and supplies. Most customers opt for plan 1 (.015 per scan and they buy color toner) With the color volume limitations and machine speed that plan usually works best.

No it is $0.05/copy exclusive of color toner. If I remember right from our initial investigations, this unit does not give but one color click anytime any color is used. i.e. a spot color of magenta advances the meter the same as a full-color copy. Therefore, there is no 3 clicks color one black for a full color copy.

Jim, this one click per full color is a service set option. It has to be set before the copier hits zero (is what I was told), factory default is one click per development.

We've been selling this with $0.013 per development (black and color), includes everything except cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges. We have been keeping the counters set at factory default to register one color click per development (three color, one black, for full color output) thereby charging $0.052 per full color output, includes black toner only. Color cartridges to be purchased as needed.

We have been charging 1.3cents black developement and 2.8 per color ie full color at 9.7cents per page. includes all but paper.

in south africa we were excluding toners in the begining but now we have to include toner because of the market trend with our opposition.
our service cost is R0.08 b/w and R0.80 for colour all inclusive.
your service department will not like the idea of includig toner but the problem is that the copier goes out with a demo toner in the start of the contract so that cost your service company a start up cost, work a set of toner into your deal to help out service then they will see that it can be done.
