Banner Printing on Muratec Color MFP - MFX C2590

The trick with banner printing is to create your document in Word, Publisher, Illustrator or whatever software you use with the document format set to the size you would like to print the finished banner and then save your file as a PDF.  You then print the PDF file NOT the native format file.  Make sure the bypass tray on your machine is set to Driver Command or whatever Muratec calls it.  In the print driver just select your bypass tray and odds are it will just work with no further intervention in the print driver.

Hey Jason, we handle the KM line.  I have a few templates and print samples I can point you too.  It would be interesting to hear of any successes you begin to have with banner printing.  It certainly can be a differentiator.  However, I have yet to find an application or vertical where people people get excited about banner printing.

Years ago I had a Konica Minolta rep after one of my customers at lease end and they really had it in my customer's head that they had banner printing and at the time my products didn't.  When I met with them and it came up and we talked about it they ultimately admitted it was not something they would ever do and they wouldn't even know where to get the paper to do it.  Things have matured now and everyone has banner printing and paper stocks are widely available. 

For a church deal a few months back I went to the church's website and grabbed a couple of pictures and created a banner that said "WELCOME ALL" framed on each side with a picture of the church.  I printed it on a adhesive backed banner paper and mounted it on Comatex.  The church was thrilled with this capability even though in reality they may never use it.  Sure made for an impressive leave behind.

David, I got your message. I will try to reach out to you today sometime. I am definitely interested in connecting with you. 

For this customer Toshiba came and did a demo and showed her how to print banners. The first thing I asked was if that was important and she said "not before I knew it could do it." Now she's printing banners for the apartment complex for different events and holidays. 

I have one church using a Samsung for printing long transparencies for their Sunday school classes. They print the content on it and then the kids can use the markers on it and clean it off for next week or something like that.
