Business communication specialist Banner Managed Communication (BMC) has announced the purchase and installation of two new Xerox iGen 150 digital cut sheet presses. The industry-leading digital presses deliver high-quality colour print on both long and short runs, advanced levels of personalization and rapid turnaround, using the latest workflow technology.
The new iGens are at the heart of a £1.5m (2.5m USD) investment in new equipment at BMC’s Guildford site. The upgrade also includes document management and finishing technology and reflects the sharp increase the company is experiencing in the volume of business-critical correspondence being generated by clients, particularly in the financial services sector. BMC also reports strong take-up of its hybrid mail solutions where clients are enjoying huge process efficiency gains.
BMC stated that the biggest driver of all is clients’ increasing awareness of the cost and efficiency benefits of BMC’s fully-fledged multichannel communications offering.
Catherine Burke, Managing Director of Banner Managed Communication,
commented: “Our Guildford facility is now established as a highly secure, market-leading multichannel and document management facility and this latest iGen investment underpins our already-strong digital print firepower. Our multichannel offering extends across creative, print, data management, scanning, mobile, email, hybrid mail and a host of other services.
In some of these areas it’s fair to say that we developed solutions ahead of time, in anticipation of where we believed the market was heading. The clear message from our run of recent contract wins is that client demand for fully integrated services has now reached a tipping point. We’re undoubtedly reaping the competitive benefit of being one of the few providers with a proven track record of providing genuinely end-to-end multichannel solutions.”
