As an independent dealer we are definitely giving away too much Pro Services in the SMB space. We kind of us it as a sales pitch against the National vendors who almost always charge Pro Services. Right now we are starting to give the customers invoice for many Pro Services that we deliver but offset it with a credit, so that they can see it's value. This will set up a future invoice where there will be no credit. We leave it up to the sales rep how he sells the workflow and how much...

interesting...on no commissions for pro-services. What have you seen for the price per hour of Pro-Services from the National Vendors (direct)? Thus what happens when you have almost no margins in a workflow solution? With me, there was only $200 from cost to MSRP with a workflow solution, are you then selling over MSRP?

The real question is do they care. Try going to the OmTool AccuRoute site. There you will see Omtool's justification for their software using HIPPA compliance. It refers to hospitals but the concept is the same. You might even get your attorneys to consider OmTool AccuRoute to automatically route the incoming faxes based on their workflow.

FYI: Most IT managers don’t like scanned documents sent using email or saved in Exchange. Exchange is not a document management systems. Attaching, replicating and storing large files can cause issues. Preferred method is to scan to folder or directly to the DM solution if that is an option.

Art, What makes eCopy so powerful is its large connector catalog (250+). The problem has been poor support. BUT, eCopy has recently hired 4 key people from EFI \ Fiery. Art, I've enjoyed reading your 12 days of selling especially the part about Saturdays. I really like that part now as when I woke up this morning I had an email from about 7am from a client who needs to spend the rest of his budget before year end. So not a bad Saturday morning start with a 25,000 order for 2 new color systems. This month should turn out well as I expect another 25,000 order on Monday and finished yesterday out with a wide format order and a small church system order.
