Re: Toshiba Erasable Toner Copier

ink is blue, option is $1,600 or so MSRP and also has a scanner unit in the system to archive the data before the toner is erased. There is a latent image on the paper (you really can't even see it). Good idea, however re-using the paper after it has been printed (ran through fuser), handled, marked up, and then erased. I'm thinking you won't be able to get that many clean sheets (no folds, dog ears, pen marks, wrinkles) to put back into the feeder to erase the blue toner.

If you take a peek at some of the threads below, you will see that many of the threads were related to wide format.  In another thread there were some references to the Seri Duplicator that used a separate device to cure the ink of the duplicator, this was necessary so that the ink would not wipe off of gloss stocks.  Just recently I came across the need for this device with a pharmaceutical firm.  Believe it or not, I called my contact in Europe and these devices and the ink...

6 Reasons Why Flat Rate Service Program Will Change the Copier Industry

I remember when plain paper copiers used rolls of paper and not sheets. I remember when the glass on the copiers had to move back and forth. I remember when copiers used liquid ink (toner) to produce an image. I remember when you used a dial to set how many copies you wanted to make. Yup, it's been a pretty incredible journey to see the industry evolve over the last 38 years! Back in the early eighties their was only one plan for a copier maintenance agreement. We included "x" amount of...

Hello, I was looking over the information and what caught my eye was this part in regards to the cost per page slide. Just wanted to see if the decimal point was in the right place or if you could explain it so that the numbers make sense. [cid:image001.png@01D08E1B.C92C01B0] To me .04 is 4 cents which would equal to .24 cost per D size drawing or if you meant .004 which would then validate the statement “a little more than one tenth of a penny” but would actually be four tenths of a penny...

Ok, I was told today that there is no MSRP for the toner, however I was able to get dealer cost and confirmation that the stated yield is 21,500 pages. I'm going to double the price for the MSRP, thus the cost would or should be in the area of $187 per cartridge. Which means based on 5% coverage the cost per page for toner only is .00869 I also needed to do some research on paper cost. I'm going figure in 35.00 per case since the erasable system should be placed in colleges, universities,...

There is an all inclusive cpc charge for the Erasable Blue toner. The cost per copy analysis suggests that if on a 60 month lease you do not expect the the customer to erase more than 210,000 pages (3,500 pages per month) you can forget the parts cost and charge the same cpc as for Black at around $0.010 per page with a decent profit. There is no charge other than the users effort to recycle pages printed with erasable blue. If a sheet of paper costs $0.010 and Erasable Blue costs $0.010 you...

There is no charge to erase pages. A 3rd paper drawer would probably be useful. Letter/ Legal/ Erasable. The number of erased pages are recorded and displayed in the useful Paper Re-use Report which describes sheets of paper saved, CO2 saved and money saved. The Eco-MFP can erase pages at 17.5 sheets per minute.

Re: Ricoh MP 301 toner question

TML ·
Hey Art! I don't know about MICR toner for this specific model, however what models in general are MICR supported? Last I knew Ricoh had a larger BW box that was MICR enabled, but couldn't find anything about it. Did find some outfit out on the West Coast that would retrofit a BW Canon for MICR, but we never went that route due to them not being authorized and didn't want to jeopardize Canon service support. MICR's an interesting niche that is still necessary though.

I don't know if it is as simple as just adding a MICR toner...I know you can put standard toner in a MICR printer but I don't know if you can do the converse. All the Ricoh MICR printers we have purchased have been through Rosetta Technologies. You can contact them here (800) 937-4224 info@rosettatechnologies.com

I recently sold a few of the smaller Ricoh printers (not from Rosetta) and have them using the Rosetta MICR cartridges. Re: Ricoh MP 301 toner question

My understanding is MICR is just an additive that you can add to any toner. You'd just have to source it and figure out how much to add.
