I am not aware of the specific details on the new approx April 2020 Toshiba Tec A4 designs. I do know that Toshiba Tec is moving away from SED-HDD towards a SSD in their products. Toshiba Corp is a world leader in SSD technology so expect something interesting in that area. If the new A4s are going to be larger than a tabletop that would partially explain why the Toshmarks will remain in the product line. specialized third party print software that needs PCL 5 in order to work properly. The software module is called ELP (not Emerson, Lake & Palmer) and is sold by Stethos in Germany

Is the Konica Minolta using any account codes/ authentication or special finishing? If not you can usually use a generic PCL5 driver. I will look at ELP.

none of the above, except for finishing. We are looking to manipulate a batch print stream from an ERP system so that the pages will print double sided and be auto stapled.

Good repost! While I can't remember the specific names, I know I've had my fair share of copier names. You also have the ones who have named them and shamed them with the Bob marley meme's and other funny ones about jamming, sucking, etc. Love knocking those out of the field! I have one office staff comprised mostly of some interesting females that name them after good looking celebrities and tv/movie characters; Channing, Joe, Darryl..... Also have one customer who specifically refers to...

I have a customer who names their 75ppm color system Big Mama on the network. Every time an alert comes through to their IT it says Big Mama needs toner or whatever is going on.

10 years ago, I sold two 45 cpm colour copiers to one law firm both located in the same copier room. I named them Bert & Ernie and even put stickers for the same on each copier. The grouchy law firm after about a month asked me to remove the stickers and give each copier an IT asset name. They found it difficult to relate to a copier with a name. I have not named copiers since.
