Ricoh SR5060 Bookletmaker question
Does anyone have these in the field. Not the plockmatic, works with 8200 series and C7000 series. How are they performing?

They are fine for a low volume but can be a pain to get fixed sometimes. The biggest pain point I see with these is people get them and want to use it to fold a single sheet. If customers do that it is very, very slow and they would be much better off with the multifold unit.

It really makes me wonder when many think that A4 will dominate the our industry. Yet the like of Epson and Brother have A3 mult-functional low end devices in their portfolio. Are they not drinking the koolaid?

I think devices such as these are not for your typical professional services firms but rather for small offices or freelancers in the construction industry (architects, civil engineers, etc). There are loads of such tiny offices which only print around 500-2,000 pages per month, a good percentage of which are in A3.
