ESP/Surge Hits Home Run with New Remote Portal for Real Time Power Events

This Week in the Copier Industry 15 Years Ago, The First Week in May 2003
Nice thread about the Seri Printer below. I recently sold a Seri Printer with a Ricoh HQ9000 duplicator, well it was last year. I ran across the perfect application and pretty much knew there was no one else in the US that would even think of offering the Seri Printer and the Duplicator. Ricoh discontinued the Seri Printer in the US about ten years ago. To make a long story short I met the inventor of the Seri Print back in 2002 when I visited Japan. He was England or Scotland I think. I...

Five Things I Like about the New Ricoh IP C8500 Color Printer
Does anyone still make copies these days? I can't remember the last time I saw someone use the copy function on an office MFP (Multi-Functional Printer). More than ever, users are printing and scanning rather than copying. But does this mean the copy function will become obsolete? Nah, it's not going to happen anytime soon because there's a boatload of paper documents that may still need to be copied from time to time. Thus, even if you're not a fan of printing on paper, Ricoh has taken the...

I get what you're saying but...its just a printer. Essentially nothing better than the 840dn it replaced, just an updated engine. The multi-fold is nice but also expensive.

@grizzlyadams ty for the comment. CARG for MFPs over the next few years will have a negative growth rate, while managed print will have a CARG of more than 9.8%. While it's really nothing more than the C840dn, the refresh was badly needed. In the US market place all we get is the IP C8500 while other markets will get to resell both the IP C8500 and the IP C8510 (55 ppm). Peronally I would much rather have the IP C8510. Thanx again for response!

You are correct, it did need a refresh.
