Kyotier color meter question, please help!

I know that on the new Kyo'if you are in doubt of the color page coverage you can scan the document and get some type of page coverage report, right?

If so, then here's another question for the kyo guru's. What happens if you want to check page coverage before you print a document?

Would you have to print the page first and then scan it?
