I can't remember if I saw it here on this board but… Does anyone have a document that discusses the 3 levels of “New Equipment” (Newly Manufactured, Factory Produced New Model or Remanufactured) that XRX sells as New. Particularly what is the difference between these levels.

The best source is Better Buys for Business High Volume Copier and Multifunctional Guide.
Page 41 of Volume 157/2004 says' "What you've always wanted to know about Xerox build status but never dared to ask."

The final paragraph says, "A point to keep in mind is that not one of the build status categories - which among them cover all Xerox copiers - guarantees that a machine is brand-new, containing no remanufactured parts... the 'newest' category of all - 'Newly Manufactured' - does allow for up to 20 percent of parts to be reprocessed."
