I always offer to shake hands, man or woman. It used to be that a man didn't offer to shake a womans hand unless she made the first move. But I think thats changed, like a lot of social mores
Do they make a decision like a man would? That is too subjective to answer. Some do and some don't. And what does that mean?
Agreed, but lighten up on the handshake. A bone-crushing handshake is a horrible impression on anyone but especially on a woman.

You would think this would be common sense, but I've had this discussion with several customers about other sales people who think a "Firm" handshake means the other person walks away in agony.
