I will soon be installing my 4th eCabinet. I believe the key is any time you hear someone say they have an intrest in scanning documents, that is the beginning to placing an eCabinet. My territory is to call on IT groups within our market place. The most common need I encounter is the need to for electronic document storage and retrieval. While that can lead to a much bigger solution it starts the coversation that can lead to the eCabinet.

I hope that is of some help.

One thing that has helped our understanding of the eCabinets strength's and weaknesses was to implement the storage of our customer files on the eCabinet. By "eating what we cook" we can provide an impactful demonstration for potential clients. Also, CDIA training helps uncover what the client is actually looking for in a Document Management Solution which in turn will help you position the eCabinet as the right solution.
