Is print-from USB/SD really available? I could swear it is only scan-to. If print-from is available, it would make complete sense & would help me out in several deals I am currently working. To add print-from to my proposals, I have been proposing a Lexmark A4 desktop MFP in addition to the Ricoh MFP since Lexmark has this functionality standard.
I have just run into a situation where the Savin C9025 /Ricoh I am proposing has the scan to usb or sd card but not print from usb or sd card. I was advised to say to the customer that the downside to print from usb or sd is that you can infect your mfp with a virus because there is no firewall or virus protection, so it would not be a secure situation. It does make sense to me. However the Sharp does have the capability and I am woried the customer might not agree with the security argument. Could you tell me the model of the Lexmark in case I also have to go that way? Sound like it will raise my price over the Sharp by quite a bit though.
