What is the difference 6000 vs 6001?

You hit the nail on the head, I'll take a better look to see if anything else differs.

6001 has color touch screen while the 6000 is only b/w

6001 has color scanning

6001 has a 150 Sheet feeder compared to 100 on the 6000

1.5GB RAM on 6001 vs. 512MB RAM on 6000

Is print-from USB/SD really available? I could swear it is only scan-to. If print-from is available, it would make complete sense & would help me out in several deals I am currently working. I have just run into a situation where the Savin C9025 /Ricoh I am proposing has the scan to usb or sd card but not print from usb or sd card. It does make sense to me. However the Sharp does have the capability and I am woried the customer might not agree with the security argument. Could you tell me the model of the Lexmark in case I also have to go that way? Sound like it will raise my price over the Sharp by quite a bit though.

If you're a Lexmark BSD, the least expensive model is the XS463de. It comes standard w/ copy, print, & scan to folder and the USB port for printing and scanning. If you need Scan to email, you will need to add an additional 128MB RAM, but try to use generic RAM, as the RAM from Lexmark is in excess of $700.
