I was told yesterday that there are no more W2400's and there won't be any more. Orders for the W2400 will be filled with W3600's and the W3600 pricing will be reduced to W2400 levels.

I was also told that we will have new models with color scanning around the first of the year.

I was also told that in a year we will have full-color wide format based on a much improved Gel Sprinter technology.

Well, it's about %$%^&&^ time! I had the same report from a dealer in TN, that reported the W3600's are replacing the W2400's at the W2400 price.

Personally, I'm getting my butt kicked in with color scanning and lower MSRP's for competetive models.

Now here's what Ricoh should have done, kept the W2400 and lowered the list to $6995. Price will still be an issue even with the W3600 now at the W2400 price, don't they get it???

A W2400 could then list with RF, print and scan for about $14.6, customers are so consious with cost right now, I don't care what solution you may have the bottom line right now is dollars being spent.

I beleive this move by Ricoh is a BAD move, it's not going to help move more boxes or capture more pages! Heck I can get people to spend now for a 4ppm, so why would 2ppm make them move at the same price? Bad marketing, someone should be fired.
