New 3260/5560 units...improved paper stock support and DLCT like the MP9000/11/1350. New B&W MFPs will have color Display and color Scanning!!!

Other units will include GelSprinter lineup (like the one posted here - but in English).

The new color production units (MP 6000/7500) are going to be tough to beat and really up the ante on what the "nex gen" of products (MP C20-45) has meant to business. Find me an account that is dissatisfied on one of these products - I have yet to hear complaints. And I have placed quite a few since launched last year.

New MFP Lineup

Michael Hunter, Ricoh’s director of corporate product marketing, presented Ricoh’s hardware roadmap, while also including a number of slides in his presentation showing off the awards Ricoh MFPs have recently won from BLI. He then presented Ricoh’s new MFP models, while also detailing their market positioning. First up in the color lineup was the MP C2000, which has just been released as a new addition to Ricoh’s MFP portfolio. A Segment 1 color device, the Aficio MP C2000 is based on the MP C2500 engine and offers a rated speed of 20 ppm in both black and color.

In January, the Aficio MP C6000 and MP C7500 will replace the Aficio 3260C and Aficio Color 5560, respectively, increasing output speeds, improving image quality, supporting heavier paper and adding more finishing options, including some from GBC and Plockmatic. Later in the first quarter of next year, Ricoh will release the MP C1800, which will replace the Aficio 615C in the entry-level color market, offering enhanced output speeds, support for thicker paper stock and improved image quality.

As for Ricoh’s new monochrome MFPs, the Aficio MP 2500 was just released as a new addition to the company’s product line. Based on the design of the Aficio MP 2000, this Segment 1 MFP is targeted at those Aficio MP 2000 customers who require finishing capabilities. BLI has published a First Look Report on the Aficio MP 2500, which is available to bliQ subscribers.

In January, the Aficio MP 2550 and Aficio MP 3350 will replace the Aficio MP 2510 and MP 3010, while the Aficio MP 4000 and MP 5000 will replace the MP 3500 and MP 4500, respectively. These new models will offer faster print speeds, a new color touch-screen control panel, color scanning and booklet finishing.

In April, Ricoh will release the Aficio MP 6000, MP 7000 and MP 8000, which will replace the MP 5500, MP 6500 and MP 7500, respectively. These models will offer faster output speeds, increased average monthly volume, 1200-x-1200-dpi resolution, a single-pass duplex scanner and more finishing options, including the GBC StreamPunch III and BK5010 Booklet Maker.

At the high end of the market, Ricoh is replacing its Aficio MP9000, MP1100 and MP1350 in May with the Ricoh Pro 906EX, 1106EX and 1356EX, which will launch the company’s new Pro brand into the production market, while adding new in-line binding systems, such as a ring binder and perfect binder to its offerings.
