U.S. Army Renews Print Audit 6’s Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) and Issues Directive for Army Organizations to Cut Printing Costs

Calgary, Alberta - December 10, 2013 - Print Audit®, the print management company, has earned a U.S. Military Certificate of Networthiness (CoN # 201316602) for its flagship software, Print Audit 6. Print Audit’s certification was issued just days after the U.S. Army issued a Directive that requires all Army organizations to perform an analysis for their print environment and cut unnecessary expenses.

A Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) is a requirement for all enterprise software products that are installed within the U.S. Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network. CoN Certification signifies that Print Audit 6 is in full compliance with the Army’s strict standards for security, supportability, sustainability and compatibility. The certification also applies to all National Guard, Army Reserve and Department of Defense organizations that use the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network.

Print Audit 6 is a suite of print management tools which captures 35 fields of information about each print job. The software tracks who printed, the application, printer, number of pages, color information, the document name and more. The solution can be used to uncover printing inefficiencies, enforce printing rules, and recover expenses from clients or users.

The renewal of Print Audit 6’s Certificate of Networthiness comes on the heels of Directive #2013-26 by The Army Chief Information Officer which requires all Army commands and organizations to perform an analysis of their printing and copying device requirements and eliminate, consolidate or relocate unused or underused devices in order to reduce unnecessary printing and copying costs.

The Army Directive was issued in response to a print audit of three Army installations which revealed that $2.9 million could be saved at the three installations by rightsizing the inventory of printing and copying devices. The Directive also requires that all Army organizations implement a plan to rightsize their printer fleets by February 3, 2014.

Print Audit 6’s new CoN, which is a renewal of Certificate # 200805743 issued in 2009, can be accessed at the following link:
