 — Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, the global market share leader in point of sale technology, will showcase its award-winning portfolio of Point of Sale solutions at Retail’s Big Show, #NRF14. Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions can be found at NRF booth 1763 and at the Toshiba Technology Showcase in hallway 2D.

The Toshiba booth and showcase will feature its diverse solutions, with a focus on mobility and the meaning of mobile commerce for the future of retail. A major mobile point of sale reveal plus existing mobile solutions like the TCxGravity omni-channel solution demonstrate Toshiba’s innovation in a changing retail environment.

Launching at NRF, Toshiba is also expanding relationships with business partners including Tolt Solutions, providing clients with access to increased omni-channel retail applications, such as clienteling. Toshiba business partners are demonstrating various solutions in their booths. A partner booth map is available at the Toshiba booth.

The TCxAmplify mobile solution for consumer mobile shopping and associate line/queue busting will also be featured in the Toshiba booth. This mobile application changes the way consumers shop and allows retailers to provide an engaging, interactive experience for their customers.

“We see mobile technology as an opportunity to enhance the shopping experience in our stores and build loyalty among our customers,” said Cheryl Williams, VP of Digital Commerce & Innovation at Wakefern Food Corp., which operates 300 supermarkets under the ShopRite, PriceRite and the Fresh Grocer banners. “Toshiba’s mobile shopping solution is helping us to reach our customers in a new way, with greater convenience, personalized communications and promotions throughout their store visit. We look forward to a continued partnership with Toshiba to further enhance the shopping experience for our customers.”

Toshiba’s full portfolio will be available for demonstration, including the SurePOS 785 which was named the top performer in an independent study by Edison Group that examined dust and lint collection in three POS products, along with the impact the retail environment can have on durability and reliability of retail hardened systems. The study concluded that because of its maximum performance capabilities, the Toshiba system requires less frequent maintenance and lower maintenance costs for the lowest total cost of ownership among the units tested.
