Toshiba’s TEC division earnings report
Toshiba TEC includes printers and MFPs
- Net sales down 16.6% YoY for FY2020 to 405.7 billion yen ($3.8 billion)
- 40.7% drop in operating profit to 8.3 billion yen to $78 million
- Operating profit margin dropped to 2%
- Printing Solutions division had net sales down 19.3% to 145.2 billion yen ($1.4 billion)
- Operating profit was a loss of 5.1 billion yen (-$48 million)
- Operating profit margin dropped to negative 3.5%
- In its mid-term plan, states that R&D will be devoted mostly to the Retail Solutions division, which makes cash registers, point-of-sale systems, receipt printers and self- checkout systems
