Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) proudly announced today that it has been awarded a 2010 Informatica Innovation Award in the category of Cloud Computing. The awards competition spotlights innovative enterprises that have achieved exemplary data integration results and performance through their use of the Informatica Platform and services. Alfredo Ng-Palacol, project manager, Strategic Business Planning for TABS accepted the award last week at Informatica World 2010 in Washington, D.C., the company's 11th annual data integration showcase and user conference.
"Many people know of Toshiba's exemplary innovation and leadership as a managed print services provider, however, they may not know of their innovative use of cloud computing," said Chris Boorman, chief marketing officer, Informatica. "All of the nominees this year displayed a wealth of creative ways to leverage data integration; however, Toshiba and their fellow honorees were truly revolutionary in their implementations and achievements."
This year's winners were selected from a pool of 4,100 Informatica customers who best showcased their use of the Platform. The Platform supports all steps in the data integration life cycle and helps companies drive competitive advantage across their businesses with real-world data integration deployments to lower costs, increase productivity, reduce risk and enhance business agility. For the first time in the history of the competition, judging was open to the public online. One winner was honored in each of the eight award categories.
