QUESTION; HAS ANYBODY RUN INTO THE NEW TOSHIBAS. I JUST LOST A DEAL TO A NON-PROFIT ACCOUNT TO A TOSHIBA 282. IT HAD RADF, DUPLEX, 3 PAPER TRAYS, FAX/PRINT/SCAN. THERE SELL PRICE WAS $ 4,976. I ALSO RAN AGAINST A E-STUDIO 16CPM WITH ARDF, DUPLEX, FAX/PRINT WITH A SELL PRICE OF $ 2,269.

You should ALSO know that TOSHIBA offers two different NFP price schedules. One is dirt cheap, however the rep and company only make the equivalent of an install fee. No Profit can be added.

Toshiba is being very agressive with their line and truthfully has a strong product line. In the lower segments, (1 and 2) I think dollar for dollar - Toshiba can be sold on value added options and TRUE OPEN ENDED architecture. Besides where else can you get a seg 2 that can hole punch or saddle stitch?

I have to agree that the user panel on the SAVIN is more user friendly, especially now with the stupid screen on the new units, but watch out for the new TOSHIBA line they will give us a run for your money. Also I dion't know what other markets are like; but where I am at they have flooded the market with vendors worse than RICOH - another reason prices are low. I think we are up to 7 competitors that rep the TOSHIBA line.

Hope this is helpful!
