No Joke with the MPS Tea Party. At this point I'm thinking it's a cult and not a practice! Every day I'm sorting through alerts and there's got be be 20 a day related to MPS, and it's be going on like this for a year or so now. Everyones got an opinion, a solution and a strategy that will garner oodles of dollars for the dealers!

It's sheer madness in the blogosphere with MPS, hey I got nothing against MPS, the idea originated with copier sales people replacing laser printers and faxes with one MFP on a cost per page plan. I've been doing it for over 10 years!!

Seems the cpp plan was adopted with laser printer and MPS was born. I have my pro's and con's, probably more cons since I'm the copier side of things.

For years, I had been able to work out of a home office and always had a printer at my finger tips. I didn't realize until I had to be in the office (bs) more what a drag it really is not to have a printer on my desk. I really felt like it was a drag on productivity, print this and go get it, print that and go get it, and on the way back and forth the centralized MFP I'd get distracted by co-workers, coffee, looking out the window. I thought, this sucks!

It then clicked that I've got this really neat print driver that has hold print. Hallelujah, I've changed my ways and become born again with the "hold print" feature. I can now print all I want, the docs are held in the HD of the MFP and I can release them when I make a pitstop to the rest room or break. The feeling of not being productive has passed and I'm now looking for a way for my phone to dial my cold calls by it self and then hang up on everyone before they hang up on me!!!
