For anyone around BTA and CDA, David Quint, President and CEO of Advanced Systems in Iowa passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning.

Dave had become a great friend of mine and my fathers over the last 8-10 years and helped us out tremendously when we first became a canon dealer almost 10 years ago. He always picked up the phone when I needed something and was always willing to help out any way possible. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters. RIP my friend.

Advanced Systems is why I am in this business and have been for 38 years. It was Mel Kubicek then who talked me in to coming to work for them selling 3M copiers. Dave's Bio says that he joined Advanced Systems 30 years ago so I had moved on to Kansas City by the time he came on board.

@Old Glory Advanced and Dave have been instrumental in our success with Canon. When we first became a dealer we were overwhelmed with the programs, rebates, trade in credits and what to use with each other and what not or what couldn't be used together. We were used to, what we felt, was Ricoh's simple rebate process. Dave and others in Advance spent many hours on phone calls with us walking us through things when we had trouble getting Canon to help us. They are a big part of our success the last 9 or 10 years with Canon.
