As previously reported, the Savin Brand Manager working for the RFG (Ricoh, Savin, Lanier) East Region (within Dealer Division) was forced out this week, much to the dismay of Savin Authorized Dealers. Information just received suggests that the position may not be eliminated (Reduction In Force), yet posted for someone else to take the Savin Brand Manager role. If that is true...

Preliminary reports indicate that 7 out of 9 voters were correct. Meaning, an experienced Savin DSM will not be promoted into the Savin Brand Manager position, nor will a Ricoh DSM slide into the role. In fact, yet another IKON employee will now join the RFG East Indirect (i.e. Dealer) Region. As previously reported, an IKON employee with no DSM experience was recently named Lanier East DSM after the resignation of the former DSM. So, IKON personnell have filled two position within a Dealer Region at Ricoh after the 'Savin' and 'Lanier' salespeople were forced out of the company. Let's play "Can you identify the trend?"
Trippin' -

The position was filled by a DSM that formerly supported IKON. Correct? Yes. Not many Savin Dealers will appreciate that fact. Oh by the way, the former Savin Brand Manager that was spirited out of the company in quick fashion was #1 (highest percent of revenue plan) in the United States for the 1st QTR of FY2009, for all Ricoh, Savin, and Lanier Brand Managers. Correct? Yes. As Ricoh shrinks the talent pool and fills positions with IKON personnel (or those who just recently supported the IKON channel), other things will soon shrink as well.
