The Lupus Foundation of America, North Texas Chapter (LFANTX), formed in 1977, is the North Texas' leading non-profit health organization dedicated to finding the causes and cure for Lupus. The National organization has nearly 300 chapters and support groups in 32 states.
The Walk for Lupus Now 2010 in North Texas event took place at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas on April 24th. Walk for Lupus Now brings friends, co-workers, and communities together in the fight against lupus. The organization gives hope to those affected by lupus, find better treatments, and a cure for lupus. While the common purpose and goal of the Walk is to raise funds for research, education, and support services for people affected by this deadly disease that affects nearly 1.5 million Americans, it is also as important that participants enjoy themselves and have fun.
