Airprint is included in the iPad 2 and software updates for original iPad, and currently supports HP printers.

My guess is that MFP manufacturers will add native support for Airprint and other mobile protocols in the 2018-2019 period, if the past is any indication.

Looks like the current support has only 1 B&W laser printer on the list. The rest are all ink/color.
