SR400 w/ Inserter ? ----Please Help

Hello All

I need your help!!!

I am trying to find out if a product can perform a specific funtion and I don' have one on my floor right now to test.

Can the SR400 with Post Sheet Inserter do the following job:

ORiginal 8 1/2 x 11 made into saddle stitch booklet. End result the pages are 5.5" x 8.5"

Can the post inserter for sure insert a 5.5" x 8.5" (1/2 sheet) insert into that booklet?

I hope that is clear and makes sense. THank you in advnace for your help.

Are you talking about the SR400 or the SR4000. The 4000 will definitely make statement size booklets from Letter-R size.

I think the question was whether it would do a 5.5'x8.5' insert. Obviously wouldn't staple it but will it insert a page that is 5.5"x 8.5.

I personally think that a better idea regardless would be to insert a full 8.5x11 sheet with the other portions of the page printed with info that would be appropriate considering the placement of the insert.

I thought about that, but then there would be no need for an insert - you could just print the materials that you wanted in the first place and stich the whole document.Don't you think. I think I may be thinking about this to hard and am probably missing someting very basic.

I assumed it was a preprinted piece that you wanted inserted...why else do you need an insert?
