Sign & Seal Labels has taken delivery of South Africa’s first Konica Minolta bizhub C71cf digital label press, which is also the printer’s first digital label press.

Sign & Seal Labels recently purchased a UV Ray curing system to boost UV flexo capacity on a Mark Andy press. With customers – particularly in the wine and spirits sector – increasingly requesting bespoke label designs and ever-shorter runs, Henk Crous, owner of Sign & Seal Labels, has now taken another bold investment decision.

The Konica Minolta bizhub C71cf uses a dry toner electrophotographic imaging engine and prints roll-to-roll CMYK at almost 20m/min at a native resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi. The maximum unwind/rewind diameter is 500mm.

'We have been impressed by the colour gamut produced and the quality of the solids,’ commented Crous.
