Software Improved IPDS to Windows Printing
IDAHO FALLS, ID--March 14, 2006--Brooks Internet Software Inc. has released ExcelliPrint 3.0, which includes enhancements to improve IPDS-to-Windows printing. ExcelliPrint is an IPDS print server for Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003 platforms.

The company claims that ExcelliPrint lowers IPDS printing costs by using common Windows-based printers. In version 3.0, output destinations (printers or folders) can be purchased, whereas in 2.0 only two output destinations were allowed per license. This capability allows users to replace many IPDS printers with one PC with ExcelliPrint installed, providing centralized IPDS printing management.

ExcelliPrint also provides electronic archiving in such standard formats as PDF, PCL, TIFF, etc. Archiving lowers printing costs, helps with regulatory compliance, and enables electronic file distribution, the company claimed.

I-Series (AS/400) IPDS devices can also be managed within the ExcelliPrint browser interface without the need of an emulator: The devices can be created and controlled and spool files can be held and released. In version 3.0, spool files can be moved between IPDS devices.

Pricing is $795.00 for commercial use (including two output destinations; $690.00 for government and education use.
