Yeah except that the MFP's typically are leased with service contracts so a working machine needs to be returned at the end of the lease so they can't do the same thing as they would with a company owned asset like a phone. They just need to be working with their service provider on what they want done at the lease end to satisfy their concerns. All of the machines now have the ability to securely erase their data they just need to use it.
