They scan docs and they are compressing - when they print they get lines and skewing. Tech says it is not the copier but in the software.
Anyone know what the fix is?

What model mach?
Firmware up to date?
Does it happen from the glass and/or Doc or just with the Doc?
How do copies look?
What is the scan mode? PDF? TIFF? Have you tried it with both?

Try separating the problem. Does any of this happen in copy or fax mode? If not try different software, Word or Publisher.
As far as the shrinking, that is usually an application problem.
Windows image viewer and Adobe Acrobat both shrink apges by default. Make sure your application is set to print the image at 100%.
You can usually tell if something is at 100% because it will run off the right side of the page. Remember that the SCAN is 8.5x11 but the PRINTABLE AREA is a bit smaller due to page margins, etc.
