Sharp to Introduce Five New Copier/Printer Models, Including a Digital Full-Color MFP Specifically Designed to Handle A4-Size Paper

Delivers Maximum Performance Using A4-Size Paper, the Size Most Frequently Used for Business Documents;

Full Set of Advanced Features in a Compact Design

Sharp Corporation will introduce into the Japanese market two types of digital MFPs in three models specifically designed to deliver maximum performance using A4-size paper. The new MX-C312SC Digital Full-Color MFP and the MX-B382 and MX-B382SC Digital MFPs offer advanced features such as high-speed full-color and B/W output in a compact body size.

These models are specifically designed to handle input/output of A4-size paper, the size most frequently used for business documents. They feature a compact body with a small footprint that fits easily even in tight office spaces such as around desks. They support high-speed output and use Sharp’s proprietary Mycrostoner HG® toner that enables high-image-quality output. In addition, they offer a suite of enhanced features and support scanning of document originals in a wide range of sizes, including business cards, licenses, and credit cards.*1

Further, Sharp will be adding two new printers to its lineup: the MX-C380P Digital Full-Color Printer and the MX-B382P Laser Printer, and will be offering systems optimized to meet user needs, including higher efficiency in the office and lower operating costs.

Thanks for the heads up, I dont think these models will be introduced in the US though, I hope I'm wrong, the A4 models just introduced, MX-C401SC and MX-B401SC are really feature rich and impressive in the way you can feed plastic ID cards through the feeder and have both sides scanned. Also the fact that the B&W version has a 25% less CPC cost will make these units very hard to beat!
Art...."SC" means Scan Centric....these offer 1st in industry to scan 2 sided hard ID cards/checks via document feeder. They also have Scan squared technology. Card Shot from the doc feed...upto 1/2" stack of cards. Card shot in scanning mode not just copy mode. Color dropout...removes all color from scanned documents...all the remains is black data. The toner capacity has doubled in size at 20,000 now therefore the cost per copy can be very low. They also completely rebuilt the fuser system which increases the lifespan for the unit. The also have a built-in retractable netbook style keyboard for quick data entry. These are a hot commodity...there is nothing on the market like them.
