I was with a new prospective client yesterday and she gave me the proposal from sharp. After I get done throwing up at the price of service (.0075 for 2,000 b/w pages and .045 for 1,000 color pages) I notice they are charging her a $3.00 environmental fee. Now $3.00 a month over 63 months is not a lot of money but it is 189.00 that the customer feels like isn't necessary. I don't know if they are doing this all over but the explanation was that because they used toner in the machine they were required to pay the $3.00 fee each month for it. I looked and it is not anything to do with a recycling program. Of course I ran with the story that it was a scam and they were trying to make more money etc etc.

 Anyone seen this anywhere else?
