MAHWAH, N.J., Nov. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), has been awarded a National Joint Power Alliance (NJPA) contract for procurement of "Multi-Function Copiers, Printers and Equipment Applicable to Scanned Data and Management, Image Duplicating and Related Solutions, Accessories, Supplies and Services." The contract award includes Sharp's full line of multi-function printers (MFPs), AQUOS BOARD® interactive display systems and professional displays. This represents Sharp's fourth contract with the NJPA, a testament to the company's continued commitment to the organization and its members.

"We are honored to receive this contract award from the NJPA for another four years to complement the last 16 years of this alliance," said Laura Blackmer, Senior Vice President, Sales. "We look forward to continue providing our wide range of products and services to NJPA members nationwide."

Sharp will provide NJPA members with the benefit of purchasing one or multiple models at National Contract price levels, including a wide selection of digital copiers and printers with color and black and white capability. Additionally, Sharp will continue providing customized solutions to help NJPA members optimize business processes. The contract is facilitated and serviced through local authorized Sharp dealers and Sharp's direct branch offices.

"NJPA is very excited to renew our longstanding relationship with Sharp," said David Duhn, NJPA Contract Administrator. "Our members will continue to benefit from the unique features and capabilities Sharp solutions provide."

The NJPA is a national municipal contracting agency that facilitates competitive "Requests for Proposals," resulting in national cooperative contract solutions through business and service relationships. It serves government, education and non-profit agencies and is governed by publicly elected officials. The NJPA was created to serve education and government entities with solutions that are more efficiently delivered cooperatively than by an entity individually. Serving more than 50,000 member agencies through its highly valued cooperative contracts, it is governed by an eight-member board made up of county commissioners, city council members, mayors and school board members.

Sharp and the NJPA work together to reduce the time and expense of the purchasing process, as well as provide national volume pricing, same-day order processing and prompt delivery. Sharp's new contract with the NJPA extends four years, until 2020. For more information on the Sharp NJPA relationship, visit www.sharpgov.com/njpa.
