The big difference between the two is the 5675 is discontinued and the 5775 is active. Same duty cycle and paper capacity with some controller changes. They are offered in different configurations so it could be you are comparing different configurations, but I would bet that whoever is selling the 5675 is just motivated to get the old model out the door.
I lost to a 5775 from a Global dealer due to the built-in tracking for user codes that from what the prospect told me, is very powerful. I was offering an Equitrac solution but it was about $2800 for that. I am not sure if the prospect was telling me the whole truth however. They said it would do everything Equitrac could and that is was actually made by them but called something else. And it was no charge. It was a Real Estate firm and they wanted to automatically bill each realtor in teh office based on whatever they wanted to charge per click for color and black. Has anyone else run into this?

You can do this with Ricoh Smart Accounting. For up to 5 MFP's (and as long as there is no more than 500 users), it is $999 at MSRP. At that price, it is very easy to include as a "Free" solution. For a larger fleet, there are various pricing tiers. It allows you to create custom cost structures for each agent and track/bill back for Copy, Print, Scan, Fax in addition to larger paper sizes. It runs in Microsoft Access and ties into the standard User Codes. Brochure attached.
Thanks for the info on Smart Accounting. I was only considering Equitrac because I had heard not-so-great things about Smart Accounting. I had tried to sell it to a Real Estate Firm that had one of my machines in place and I was told by a specialist that it was not really a good product, had some bugs. That was some time ago though. has anyone worked with Smart Accounting and had a good experience?
