I have a law firm with 5 1060's-1075's. Because of security issues, they only scan to their email accounts. The problem is that some of these attorneys are out in the field, and have documents scanned to their Blackberry's as PDF's which they then in turn may forward. The forwarded recipient cannot open the PDF. If they email a document that was made with Adobe Acrobat to their Blackberry and forward it, it works. Just not PDF's created from scanning from the Ricoh machines. Blackberry says it may not be a true PDF that is being sent from the Ricoh. Anyone have an answer or solution?

I would check with the blackberry Attachment Delivery Service from your provider. There are several limitations on PDF's.

A for why th Ricoh Scans are being effected. I believe they embed the images when they create a PDF. The Blackberry service only supports embedded images as TIFF only. I woud try to find out how the copier makes the pdf conversion. Your really dealing with a Blackberry Attachment service issue than a Copier Document creation issue.
