I have set up a customer with ScanRouter Pro. I have set the delivery ID's and set the fax setting in ScanRouter to "deliver" to appropriate email address those faxes that are sent with a delivery ID and to print those that do not. My problem is that when I send test faxes from a 1022 (at my office) to the customer, both with a delivery ID and without, the faxes without delivery ID are printed...great, but those with a delivery ID seem to be going into Ricoh land somewhere? Do I need to change a setting on the machine? As far as I can tell, there are no more settings to play with in the software.

THANKS!

There are a couple of settings in the machine:
First, go to service programs and set service program 5974 to 1. This tells the machine that you have the Pro version.
Power cycle the machine and you should now have some more options in user tools, system settings under file transfer I think. One of those settings will tell it to forward faxes with a subcode to SR Pro.

Sorry I can't be a bit more specific. Hope this helps and let me know if you need further assistance!

Thanks!
Lee

Full version Adobe Acrobat will OCR PDF documents. (as opposed to the free Acrobat Reader program).

I just did a search through the help file on Acrobat 5 and got "0" hits for OCR and Optical. You can scan in to the full versions, but I am not aware of any OCR capabilities.

Thanks!
Lee

My opinion, the best OCR package out there is OmniPage Pro12

I have the older Acrobat 3.0, and I know it will OCR... I believe the term used actually is "Capture".

From the Adobe website:
The Paper Capture Plug-in for Windows is a plug-in for Adobe® Acrobat® 5.0 that is based on the same technology as the Paper Capture Online service. It enables the "capturing" of an Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) file on a user's computer without sending the file over the Internet.

The Paper Capture Plug-in performs OCR (optical character recognition) on a PDF image file. The benefit of capturing the file is that it allows for the text to be searched and copied.

The Paper Capture Plug-in supports OCR in English, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Nynorsk, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Swiss German.

The maximum number of pages that can be captured using OCR within a single document is 50 pages. To capture documents of greater than 50 pages, explore using Adobe Acrobat Capture® 3.0.

Paper Capture Plug-In user documentation (multilingual)

The Paper Capture Plug-in has been tested on English, German, and French versions of Acrobat 5.0. All other language user interfaces have yet to be completely tested at this time, but they have been included with this installer.

System requirements
Same as Adobe Acrobat 5.0

Looks like I have some experimenting to do..

Thanks!
Lee

I just downloaded the paper capture plug in from Adobe's website and it seems to work pretty good with my Acrobat 5.0. I am attaching a scan of a 1027 printer config page that I captured with this in case someone wants to try it out. Did notice one thing: when you search for the word System or Error, it won't show the ones that are contained in the title boxes.
