San Antonio police said Brittany Edwards, 24, created counterfeit $20 bills, one of which she used to buy a beer in a north east side bar last month.

Someone at the Firehouse Bar and Grill on Walzem Road called police Nov. 26 to report that a woman had passed a counterfeit $20 bill to workers.

The arrest affidavit showed an employee was able to give officers a physical description of that customer as well as a license plate number of her car.

Police traced the car back to a Edwards' boyfriend, who then directed them to a Motel 6 at Interstate 35 and Thousand Oaks, where she had been staying with a friend, the affidavit said.

Investigators said they found a printer and copier in the motel room along with several sheets of uncut paper imprinted with the images of $20 bills.
