This software was written by Paceline, a German company.

The manual however was written by Ricoh. The installation instructions seem to leave a bit to be desired. When I tried to install it on SAP r/3 there were several places where I was told to select options that wern't there and more where I was asked to choose options that the manual did not specify.

When I contacted Paceline, they offered to contact my customer directly to resolve the issue. I'll let you know how that goes once they get together.

By the way, you can oder it directly from Ricoh. I *believe* the part number is 411612

It looks to me like the kits come in a DIMM package or a HDD package. Does this mean that there is hardware to install on the machine as well as software to install? Or does it mean an existing DIMM or HDD is simply where the software(font?) gets loaded?

Some machines use a hardware DIMM to add the fonts, some machines load the fonts onto the hard drive.

I saw a matrix detailing which copiers used each method in one of the manuals, I'll scout around for it, but it will be a few days.
