I was with the samsung guys today and was told there is an app for usage of the system, which is pretty cool.  but the coolest feature to come is the app that will allow you to connect your smart phone to the system and control the system!

Awesome, right?  It's not about people my age buying or leasing these rather it's all about that next generation of users .  Anyone else heard of any additional apps for these devices?

I have sold Canon, Sharp, Konica, Kyocera. If samsung is just now talking about a mobile app,  they are way behind. Which they have been for sometime. Kyocera has the best mobile app hands down. It even works with off brand devices on the network. HP printers.....manage print services.  See where I am going with this?

I'm not talking about Mobile Printing, we're talking about a true android tablet that is the user interface for the new MFP.  Anything that you can do on your Andriod tablet or smartphone can be done at the copier, along with some additional apps that are very interesting. I'm learning more myself about this new system and the capabilities.

I can see these being very cool for libraries, information kiosks and other public areas. It's basically a fully functional web-connected tablet with print/scan/fax capabilities. That's where I'm excited to sell these.

But in a corporate environment? Not so sure... #1 I would like to read a whitepaper on the security risks of such an open platform... Are you the apps limited, or could I install a Facebook app and print off all of my friends photos?

And #,2 I wonder if the heavy customization and personalization might frustrate users.

I sell Canons 4 to 1 against Konica because of the simple-to-use interface.

Greg Walters hit the nail on the head. "It's a multi-functional tablet... MFT!"

Still... we'll just have to wait and see!
