Any Samsung guys/gals have many of these in the field? One of my property developer clients used to place a SCX5935 in each apartment complex they build but that's discontinued now. They worked like champs. Now with it gone I am not sure if I want to move up a machine to the M4580 or if the 4080 will work good for them.

Czech, I love the 4580. I have one in the field that is running 10k or so a month and rarely has any issues. I believe just after a year they have over 150k on it. I was going to go that route but they only budget about 2500 for a machine in the new properties and I obviously try to keep as much margin in it as possible. That's what made the 5935 so great. 800 cost and selling for 2500.00.

I have talked to them about canon and some other machines but they used the Samsung so long they won't take anything else until there isn't an option in that price point with Samsung.

We have about 80 of the 4080's in the field along with a lot of the 4580's and 5370's doing as much as 18k/mo. and our clients like them as much if not more than the 5935 and 6555. Have not had any issues thus far with faxing other than someone using VOIP heavily seems to cause some problems, but would like to know more about what issue Fisher is referring to.

Weird issues with the fax going to sleep and not waking up.  Customers receiving no faxes on the weekend.  In most places fax isn't a critical function so it could actually go unnoticed in some businesses but we chased our tail in a fax critical business and took a couple machines back over the issue before finding out it was a known issue that they don't have an answer for yet.
