Since the MFP's now have the capability of scanning, one of my technicians had a real good question.

Is it possible to program the copier to send notices to us with counters, notices of PM kits needed or other info? We have several customers we have to call monthly to get meter readings. It would be nice to have them programmed to automatically come by e-mail.

Any ideas?

Last week you should have gotten a Launch Package for @Remote - Intelligent Remote Management System. This is actually a thin server that hangs on the network and costs us about $650. However, the 3025/3030 and 3035/3045 have @Remote built into each box and only needs to be initialized by a technician. The service admin stuff is coming but not available yet.
Also, with the new 30 series you can set up email notifications for when the machine is in error or a service code is present. It will not do meters though like @Remote will. Many dealers are planning on just going to purchase the @Remote device and then charge the customer a monthly fee for it, just an FYI.
