Not even a little bit excited. It’s essentially a MP4054/55 with a slightly better screen and processor.

I thought Ricoh might be the first to follow Arts accurate guess in that they might make a color “only” product with color disabled for continuity.

I finally convinced my last “black only” customer to go with the IMC3000 because it’s a better unit  

B&W will die. Watch Fuji.

No doubt COVID threw every OEM's distribution and inventory plans around the world into disarray. Shortages and long shipping delays are now common.

It is not that the factories in China and Malaysia could not manufacture enough MFPs to satisfy the market, it was the logistics of moving these finished boxes from one side of the world to the other that broke down.  It is not expected that these challenges will resolve themselves for several quarters.

Simplifying a product line by speed licenses or color only boxes is not really an answer to this year's logistical problems.

I have multiple quotes out there for black only A3 and A4 product.  If anything, I see a decline in demand for A3 color product as customers want to reduce expenses.
