SYDNEY – 10 October 2019 – Ricoh, a leading provider of smart workplace technology, has renewed a four-year Platinum Partnership agreement with the Association of School Business Administrators (‘ASBA’), the peak body representing eight regionally-based chapter associations of business managers from non-government schools throughout Australia and New Zealand.

As part of the agreement, ASBA members will have full access to Ricoh’s educational and technical resources to support ASBA’s goals of delivering members’ best business practice in digital innovation as well as cost management and efficiency.

Pip Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of ASBA Limited said, “ASBA really enjoyed having Ricoh as one of our inaugural Strategic Partners in the very successful partnership that ended at our ASBA2019 conference last week. We look forward to working with Ricoh again in a fulfilling and exciting new Platinum Partnership over the next four years.”

As part of its multi-year partnership, Ricoh had a major exhibitor presence at last week’s ASBA conference staged in Hobart from 1-4 October. The theme for this year’s event was “It Starts With Us” with the event providing a forum for attendees to enhance their awareness and understanding of the relevance of emerging and global issues that impact their school in a changing and increasingly uncertain world.

“Just as rapidly evolving technologies are altering the way businesses serve their customers, they’re having a similar impact on how schools operate,” says Ivan Kogoj, State Manager, Ricoh Australia. “Processes and workflows that have been in use for decades are poised for replacement as schools work to meet the shifting expectations of a new generation growing up with apps on demand and new ways of learning via virtual and augmented reality, and rich mobile, video and digital classroom technologies.

“With the pace of change showing no sign of slowing, it’s clear that the school of the future will be a very different place. By harnessing the most appropriate technologies today, schools can ensure they are best placed to provide quality education in the years to come.

“We look forward to working with ASBA members in the years to come to support their ongoing deployment of new digital tools and overall digital transformation which will best position them to meet the challenges of the years ahead while also allowing staff to focus on that which is most important: the students.”
