This email is to let you know that the Ricoh Pro 8300S was announced and launched to the Field on Friday. It’s now available and it replaces the Ricoh Pro 8200S. At this time, only the Ricoh Pro 8300S is being launched. The Ricoh Pro 8310S and the Ricoh Pro 8320S will be launched at a later date, once we deplete the remaining inventory of the Ricoh Pro 8210S and the Ricoh Pro 8220S. The MICR compatible models are scheduled to be launched in the August timeframe.

The primary enhancements to the unit are a larger and more friendly user interface, better image quality, greater configurational versatility and stronger Finishing peripherals. The Ricoh manufactured Finishing peripherals have taken a nice step forward.

This series of models is designed to be more effectively positioned for the general office and school environment; while also being more strongly positioned for the Inplant and the Commercial Print markets. The print engine has the ability to be configured into a smaller footprint for more space sensitive environments and to also be configured with more robust finishing for Inplant and Commercial Print environments.

Here’s a short list of some of the improvements to the system:

  • 17” SMART Operations Panel
  • Auto Duplex up to 13” X 27.5”
  • Shift/Sort Tray for the General Office and School Environment (Ricoh Pro 8300 only)
  • Smaller sized stapling and booklet finishers for the General Office and School Environment (Ricoh Pro 8300 only)
  • Booklet Finisher that saddle stitches up to 30 sheets with an optional face trim
  • Support for papers up to 350 Gsm (130#) through the Production Booklet Finisher
  • New, dual tray Interposer that supports coated papers up to 350 Gsm (130# Cover)
  • New Finisher and Booklet Finishers with dual shift/finishing trays
  • Optional Banner Tray for Vacuum Fed LCT
  • Optional High Capacity Plockmatic Stacker for oversized sheets
  • Optional Media Identification Unit (MIU)

The brochure and the Environmental Spec sheet have been attached for your reference. You can access the PowerPoint launch presentation through InfoCenter.

Please feel free to reach out if you  have any questions.

Good Selling!
