I dont think you can do that, also Rossetta sells software helpful with check printing. You should reach out to your printer support rep at Ricoh corporate and see if they have a way for you to work with Rosetta and get more than a spiff. Or, you could contact Rosetta directly and see if you can purchase from them and then resell the printer to your customer.
When I owned my own dealership back in the eighties, we were refilling HP toner cartridges and I seem to remember that I could buy MICR toner as well as the regular toner. It's been years since I did this, thus the reason for checking with everyone, can anyone else lend a hand?
In the HP World, the same ctg can be filled with MICR toner or standard toner & the machine will print accordingly. So just filling the same ctg with MICR or Non MICR toner is the only difference. But finding a MICR version toner for the Ricoh printer ctg you want will be the challenge. One of the large ctg remanufacturers would be the best place to look.
If you're looking at the SP4310, this uses the same cartridge as the SP4100 & SP4110. I have a client with a mixed fleet for SP4100's, SP4110's and SP4310's, and we have been supplying them with MICR cartridges for several of these as part of their MPS Agreement for over 5 years. If memory serves me correctly, I remember that when Ricoh launched the SP4110 he stated that one of the benefits that it could run either regular toner or MICR. I don't know if our Supplies Department gets the cartridges directly from Ricoh or elsewhere, but having inventory on-hand has never been an issue.
